Cool, Helpful Online Tools

After a relaxing holiday season the last thing you want to do is come back to reality and stress yourself out because you aren’t properly organized. The internet is a wonderful place to find new tools and apps to make your life easier. Everything from virtual sticky notes to virtual check lists that can’t be lost or thrown out are available online for free.
Remember the Milk is one of those super cool websites where you can sync to basically anything. You can sync your check lists with your Blackberry, tweet new items to the Remember the Milk's twitter page so they can remind you of it. AIM, Gadu-Gadu, Google Talk, ICQ, Jabber, MSN, Skype, Yahoo!, and Microsoft outlook are all supported, you can even add tasks to a map to see exactly where you need to go to complete your tasks. And they of course have apps for your iPhone and Android supported phone.
Sosius is a great tool for those who are looking to have an online workspace, personal or for a business. Their tagline says it all, “Get it together”. With over 300 features it makes seeing who in your team has done what and when easy while your whole team can keep on top of your projects: you can view and assign tasks and update as you go. You can even have online meetings including talk, message back and forth and screen sharing.
For personal use, Firefox has a cool new plug in called Yoono (Yoono also works as a desktop app) Yoono has had over 5 million downloads, and after downloading it myself, I can’t say that I’m surprised. You can sync your Facebook, Twitter, Myspsace, linkedin, Youtube, flickr, foursquare, FriendFeed, AIM, Live messenger, Yahoo Messenger and Google Talk all to this web browser plug-in that acts as a social aggregator. It’s useful, fun and will definitely slow your work productivity down.
