Unique Christmas presents

With Christmas creeping up around the corner all too quickly, you don’t want to be caught on December 24th with no gifts for your loved ones, or worse, lame gifts. While doing research for this post I came across articles that included “making books on tape” for your loved ones, or maybe use old CDs to make ornaments for their Christmas trees…And then I came across articles like “Simple Shaped Soap Bars” which would make a great stocking stuffer, without getting too complicated and taking up a lot of time.

Of course to stay with the trends I looked up some eco-friendly gifts and was pleasantly surprised by the creativity of some people. I fell in love with a lot of the stuff on Eco-Artware.com, so much so that I had to take a break from writing this blog to get some of my own Christmas shopping done on there. The online store features eco-friendly gifts that are recycled, reused and/or made from natural materials, all done by 30 independent artists. Other creative gifts I’ve heard of that don’t require using anything recycled, “The Anti-Gift” is an interesting concept that requires no gift giving at all, simply have a party instead, help a friend with a project, give your time instead of your money. “Buy an Acre, highway, nature trail or star” of course helps out environmental organizations in the name of others, which helps with maintenance, as well as protection.
